The Artist
I am a woman, a witch, a wife, a mother, an artist, and a business owner, sprinkled with an eco-friendly, ocean-loving, Aquarian, city girl. Each of these qualities is a facet of who I am and what comes through in the art I bring to you.
I began studying the Craft in my early twenties. The first book I read was Earth Power by Scott Cunningham and by the end of it I was hooked. I finally found something that resonated for me, something that made sense and that I could sink my teeth into.
For a long time I called myself a Traditional Witch. I am not really an "inside the box" type of person; dogma of any kind really isn't my thing. Being traditional meant doing things the way I imagined they did in days of old, working with what they had, going on instinct, and living a life that is naturally magickal. I have studied and dabbled in various teachings and paths and I kept the things that worked for me and threw out the rest. Today I just call myself a Witch. It fits. It works. I’m sticking with it.
I have two amazing children and both are magickally gifted in their own ways. My husband, whom I cherish and adore, is my constant supporter and the skillful master behind this amazing website.
My artistic craft began in elementary school when I learned to hand sew. When I was 13 I bought my first electric sewing machine and have been burning up the thread ever since. In high school I found my love for fine art and took classes in drawing, painting and photography. My senior year I applied and was accepted to Otis Parsons in Los Angeles. Sadly, I never made it to art school but I have continued to expand and grow with my art for the last 20 years. My current passions are sewing, painting, photography, scrapbooking, drawing, decorating, beading, jewelry making, clay work, cross stitching, and paper crafts but my absolute favorite thing is to mix them together in mixed media projects.
About six years ago I quit working for other people and began offering my artist talents online. Today I am a proud business owner and very fortunate to be able to love what I do every day.
Blessings,
